Sunflower | Blooming with solar flare

Jeffrey Meyer Photography, Sunflower-2

Hello Ottawa, we’re set for another spectacular day of sunshine! So with a song of joy and a skip in my stride I say let’s celebrate the brightness of our day with a quick tribute to a flower that packs some big time solar flare in its smile!

“Pic”ed fresh from my neighbour’s flower garden with these specs:
File Speed: ISO 125
Aperture: ƒ/5.1
Focal length: 200 mm
Shutter Speed: 1/100th of a second
Filter: Hoya HD Polarizer

    Hey Jeff

Even though you disobeyed the shutter speed / focal length rule of thumb (shutter speed = 1/(focal length)th, minimum you should use) these photos are tack sharp! All hail the power of Canon’s image stabilization!! Unless you used a tripod/monopod?
