Earlier today I took a walk in the rain along the Ottawa River’s edge. As I crossed the Champlain Bridge I came across two Inuksuit standing in an area that is normally below water. As I approached and sat in front of them part of me wanted to hug them, and reciprocate their reach. I suppose some would say they were just a personification of nature or an anthropomorphism, but my imagination embrassed the moment and took them for much more than rocks – they were something a human had put together with their hands, and they were something made in our image. So, when the rain let up for a moment I pulled out my camera and photographed a few rocks that were much more than just rocks – they were Inuksuit. As for the model release, I was given the thumbs up to rock on and shoot a roll of film…
