Rhodes Scholar, Rebecca Anne Dixon, shakes hands with the Honourable Bob Rae, Member of Parliament and a former Rhodes Scholar himself

On April 26, 2012, I had the great pleasure to photograph a reception in honour of Mount Allison University’s 50th Rhodes Scholar – Rebecca Anne Dixon. The event took place on Parliament Hill in Room 256-S, Centre Block. In attendance was several Parliamentarians from both the Senate and House of Commons, along with university alumni, friends and family of Rebecca. The Rhodes scholarship is known as the “world’s oldest and most prestigious international graduate scholarship.” It is awarded for study at the University of Oxford, and bestowed on the basis of academic achievement and strength of character. Featured here is Rebecca shaking hands with the Honourable Bob Rae, Member of Parliament for Toronto Center – and a former Rhodes Scholar himself in attendance to congratulate Rebecca.

Congratulations Rebecca, and all the best in your studies!
